FULLY AUTOMATE ONGOING REPORT GENERATION & DELIVERY WITH REPORTER

TAKE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL!

Network Detective Reporter is your ticket to increased productivity through pre-scheduled data collection, and automatic generation of your IT Assessment reports.

All you need is one Reporter appliance, one subscription to Client Connector (included), plus a separate Reporter customer license for each of your clients (starter package comes with 10 customer licenses).

Not only does the Reporter appliance package automate the generation of all your Network Detective reports, it also automatically delivers your reports via email to anyone on your distribution list. It’s like having a skilled admin on staff dedicated to creating reports for you and your clients but at a fraction of what it would cost you to pay someone to do it. The cost is only $250/month for your first 10 client sites, and just an additional $5/site per month after that. No limit on the size of the site or number of reports you can run each month.

To order Reporter, risk free, use the Upgrade button from within the Network Detective application or contact your account rep for more details. If you do not know your account rep simply email sales at sales@rapidfiretools.com.

No Need To Dispatch A Tech To Do An Assessment

All of your Reporter client sites are centrally controlled from inside your Network Detective application. Once you assign a Reporter license to one of your client networks and deploy your script to schedule and save the scan data, you'll be able easily handle the rest of the set-up from inside Network Detective. You control which reports to run, when to run them, and where to send them.

There’s no more need to send a technician on site to collect the data, which saves you money. No more manual downloading of the scan data either, and no need to go through the manual report generation process for each assessment, saving you even more time.

And since there’s no limit to the number of scans and reports, you can do more assessments for your clients, more frequently. That means more incremental change reports, more frequent security scans, and more updated reports whenever you need them.

Works Great As A Physical Appliance or Virtual Machine

The appliance component of Reporter is purchased as a complete software download (OS included) that can be installed on your own Hyper-V enabled system. The low monthly subscription cost for Reporter is the same whether you download and install it on a physical server you already own or upload it as a virtual machine in the cloud.

Don’t have a spare server with the right specs? For an additional monthly charge, you can add a small form factor server to your subscription and get the Reporter software appliance pre-installed and ready to plug ‘n play. We fully support the hardware and will repair or replace it, if needed, forever!

HOW TO ORDER

The Reporter software appliance is an add-on to any other Network Detective subscription you have. If you’re an existing Network Detective customer, log into your Network Detective application and click on the Upgrade button in the top right side of the main screen. New customers should follow the same procedure after purchasing your first module(s) and installing the Network Detective application.

Reporter consists of three elements: the Reporter software appliance, the Client Connector, and individual client site licenses. The appliance component of Reporter is purchased as software and can be installed on your own Hyper-V enabled system. The low monthly subscription cost for Reporter is the same whether you download and install it on a physical server you already own or upload it as a virtual machine in the cloud. Setting up and running Reporter is a straight-forward three-step process:

Step 1. Identify Your Reporter Inside Network Detective.

Your starter package comes with 10 individual customer licenses ready to install at your customer's network. Simply associate one of your unused Reporter licenses with the appropriate Client Site inside Network Detective, and you're ready to schedule scans and reports for that client.

Step 2. Schedule Your Scans.

Use your favorite RMM scripting tool, or MS Windows Task Scheduler to set up command lines to run the Network Detective Data Collector(s) on a recurring schedule and save the resulting scan files to a specified location. Our Connector software will then upload them to our temporary cloud storage facility.

Step 3. Pick The Reports You Want To Automatically Generate

Once you determine the frequency of the scans, you then have the option to determine which of the reports you want Reporter to automatically generate. Again, you have complete flexibility to create a fresh set of complete reports with each scan, or just generate selective reports that you want to regularly review internally or with your clients. All of the automatically-generated reports will be saved directly to the Reporter appliance, but you also can specify whether you want the reports to be emailed to you as an attachment, as a link, or uploaded into your existing Network Detective report storage.

HOW TO ORDER

The Reporter software appliance is an add-on to any other Network Detective subscription you have. If you’re an existing customer, log into your Network Detective application and click on the Upgrade button in the top right side of the main screen. New customers should follow the same procedure after purchasing your first module(s) and installing the Network Detective application. The initial $250/month subscription includes the software appliance and operating system, the Client-Connector, plus 10 individual client site licenses. Additional client site license subscriptions can be purchased for just $5/mo.

Let’s face it, the real value of Network Detective is in the powerful, informative and compelling branded reports that you can generate. So why limit the frequency of the various scans that can discover new issues and security risks?

With Reporter, you set up each client site one time. Then your scans will run automatically and your selected reports will generate automatically based on the schedule you determine. You can even remotely run scans and reports on an ad-hoc basis without having to go on-site.

Think of how much more value you’ll get by taking regular “snap shots” of your clients’ networks – even if you don’t run a full set of reports each time. You can also increase the frequency of your security and compliance scans – if you subscribe to those modules – for better visibility into your client’s network health and increased reporting.

Once you are able to completely automate your IT Assessment process, the door is wide-open expand issue discovery and provide better client service.

You can run weekly security reports for internal consumption as well as weekly Management Plans to keep tabs on what’s been fixed and to document new issues. You can run monthly Client Risk reports to give your customers along with Quarterly Business Reviews for effective ongoing communications that let your customers see the value they’re receiving from your managed services. They’ll appreciate the attention and you will create a ton of good will.

The time you save running just one automated assessment per month for each of your clients will pay for this tool. Compare the the cost of having your least expensive technical resource do this work with the low monthly cost of Reporter. That resource can be productively working on client issues while your Reporter is diligently performing your Network Detective assessments.

Is Reporter required to run Network Detective?

No, it’s not required. Reporter is an optional add-on to automate the ongoing scanning and report generation at individual customer sites.

How Do I Order Reporter?

You won’t find Reporter on the main order form on this web site, because it’s an add-on appliance designed to augment your other Network Detective modules. If you’re an existing customer, log into your Network Detective application and click on the Upgrade button in the top right order of the main screen. New customers should follow the same procedure after purchasing your first module(s) and installing the Network Detective application.

Why would we want to do ongoing report generation at client sites?

Most MSPs initially use Network Detective to offer “free” network assessments as part of a prospecting marketing campaign. Network Detective is also used as a “killer” sales tool to close new business. However, many MSPs also use Network Detective on an ongoing basis as the foundation for new, revenue-generating IT security and compliance services. Network Detective is also used to produce regular client reports to communicate the value of the services being provided, to check for new hardware/software that's been added to the network and other changes. Network Detective is licensed by annual subscription for a fixed price so why wouldn't you want to put it to use as often as possible? That’s where Reporter comes into play by totally automating the data collection and report generation, saving you time and resources.

What’s the difference between Connector and Reporter? If I have Connector already, do I need Reporter?

Client-Connector is included in Reporter, but also available as a separately sold subscription. The Client-Connector component of Reporter allows you to automate the running Network Detective scans, but it can’t automate the downloading and running of selected reports on a scheduled basis.

If I already have Connector and I get Reporter, am I paying for Connector twice?

No. If you already subscribe to Connector, we will automatically credit you the full cost of Connector toward your purchased of a Reporter subscription.

What’s the difference in pricing between Reporter and Connector?

The Connector subscription is a flat $25/month and is a partial solution for automating the running of your Network Detective data scanners. Reporter costs $250/month ($225 if you already have Connector), and expands the automation to include the scheduling and generation of any of your reports for up to 10 client sites. Additional site licenses cost just $5/month.  A physical server can be added to your Reporter subscription for an additional $40/month.

How do I add more client site licenses after the first 10 that are included in Reporter?

It’s easy to add more client site licenses as you go. Simply associate a Reporter to your next client, and you will be prompted by the system to alert you that you need to purchase a new client site license. If you are an authorized user, you will have the option to purchase the additional license right then and there, and the new license will be added to the credit card on file, and your account will be billed an additional $5/month per client added after the first 10 included with your original purchase.

What if I want to use Reporter to run a Network scan or generate a report from a module that I don’t currently have?

Only the Network Detective scans and reports from modules that you have active subscriptions for will be available in your Reporters. However, as soon as you subscribe to new modules, the scans and reports associated with those subscriptions can be immediately scheduled with Reporter.

If I cancel my subscription, what happens to the actual scans and Reports I generated with Reporter?

As long as you have downloaded the past scans or reports from the Reporter you are cancelling, you’ll continue to have full access to them.

If I purchase a server from you, can I return it? And if so, who pays for return shipping?

Yes, you can return a server you purchased from us, providing that you notify us within 30 days of purchase and obtain an RMA. You’ll pay for the return shipping, and receive a refund of the purchase price after we inspect and test the device to ensure that it has not been damaged.
